Interview with Andreas Larsson, Best Sommelier of the World 2007

 

Also lecturing at Vinexpo 2012, was Andreas Larsson, Best Sommelier of the World (2007 ASI), known not only for his tasting abilities and vast knowledge in the realm of food and wine, but also for his amiable and professional approach to sommellerie. In his Master Class entitled “Looking beyond the label: the virtues of blind tasting,” Larsson spoke of the benefits of blind tasting, such as setting aside the preconceptions and expectations which one usually forms when seeing the bottle before trying its contents, and approaching the tasting with a neutral lack of bias, an open mind.
